Alight Motion is a video editing software used on a mobile device like the
after-effect software used on a computer. How to create project presets in this
software. And how to set up ready-made templates with predefined settings
for future projects, how to save time, and how to ensure consistency across
videos, and more. Now let's see how to do all these:
(toc)
Step 1: Create a New Project
Open Alight Motion on your device.
Start by clicking the "+" button to start a new project
Set the project settings such as:
"Please remember: "Select the resolution supported by your mobile, such as 720p, 1080p, etc..."
Frame Rate (e.g., 30 fps, 60 fps)
Background Color
Aspect Ratio (e.g., 16:9, 1:1)
Step 2: Add Elements and Effects, Color Correction
Add any elements (e.g., text, shapes, images, videos) that you commonly use.
Apply any effects, transitions, and adjustments that are typically part of your projects.
Arrange the elements on the timeline as needed.
Step 3: Save the Project as a Preset
Once you have set up the project with your desired settings and elements, tap on the project menu (three dots or the project name).
Select the option to "Save as Project Package" or similar, depending on your version of the app.
Name the project package and save it.
Step 4: Using the Preset in Future Projects
When you start a new project, you can import the saved project package.
This will load the preset with all the predefined settings, elements, and effects, allowing you to start working immediately.
Additional Tips
Organize Elements: Keep your elements and layers well-organized with labels and grouping for easier editing.
Consistent Branding: Include any logos, colors, and fonts that align with your brand to maintain consistency across projects.
Adjustable Elements: Create adjustable placeholders for elements that change from project to project, such as text or images.
Example of a Basic Project Preset
Let's say you frequently create Instagram stories. Your preset might include:
Resolution: 1080x1920 (portrait mode)
Frame Rate: 30 fps
Background Color: White or brand-specific color
Text: Placeholder text for the title and subtitles
Effects: Common transitions and animations
By setting up this preset, you can quickly produce consistent and professional-looking Instagram stories.
Creating and using presets can greatly streamline your workflow and help maintain a consistent style in your video projects. If you have any specific requirements or need help with a particular aspect of Alight Motion, feel free to ask!
